SLO Sail and Canvas beach catamaran trampoline specifics…
SLO Sail and Canvas manufactures high-quality trampolines for over 35 different beach cats. We do all of the manufacturing so you can easily add custom options to your trampoline. All trampolines come standard with a halyard pocket (12”x12”) and adjustable hiking straps unless otherwise noted.
Our standard beach cat trampoline fabric is an 8 ounce woven polypropylene mesh. These trampolines are available in your choice of blue or black mesh. This mesh is extremely strong with a burst strength of over 800 psi and a tensile strength of over 500 pounds per 1” of material width. Polypropylene is also highly UV resistant. The polypropylene mesh we use has a 5 year warranty in the sun and the mesh will last up to 20 years. This mesh is a very tight weave with about a 25% openness factor.
White mesh is also available by special order in a 25 ounce weight vinyl coated polyester. This mesh has an approximate 50% openness factor. We sew a heavy solid polyester reinforced vinyl on the edges of the trampoline. Please ask us for pricing in white vinyl mesh.
For most trampolines we can also use a 22 ounce solid vinyl. This material has the advantage (and disadvantage) of not passing wind or water. Color choices are limited to the basic primary colors: white, green, blue, red, yellow, black, etc… Please ask about pricing for solid vinyl trampolines.
As standard we sew all of our trampolines in a V-138 weight UV stabilized bonded and lubricated polyester thread.
Teflon (Tenara) stitching is available as an option for an extra charge. Tenara brand Teflon thread by the W.L. Gore company has a 15 year warranty in the sun and will not fade or rot due to UV or chemical exposure. Our recommendation is to always keep your trampoline covered. It is the stitching that will be the first to fail on trampolines sewn in polyester thread. If you live south of latitude 35 and your boat lives on the beach Tenara thread will defiantly pay off. If you are in Florida or Hawaii defiantly add Tenara thread to your new SLO Sails trampoline. If you are in Canada, don’t worry about it.
